As we pack up for our extended weekend at Ft Desoto S.P. we hope everyone has a safe holiday. For those fortunate enough to be camping, be sure to give us all a review of where you went.  Try to keep the brown pop, sorry, Miller Lite, under control ;).  We'll look forward to hearing from you all next week.  Be happy and safe!

Be sure to put some fresh water outside in a pan for the Raccoons.  They have been known to eat through your hose to get a drink..
At least thats the rumor.

Hope you have a safe trip.

Got back from Ft Desoto this afternoon.  Another great camping trip.  Got a little rain Fri & Sat, rest of the time just plain hot  :hot.  Campground was full but not at all rowdy as some might expect.  The reccoon problem seems to be a thing of the past.  They have relocated most of them elsewhere.  Only saw 1 in the park in five days and one in a mangrove area while kayaking.

Bill what site number is that Looks just like the one we stayed at there.  I don't remeber the number but it was the third from the entrance in the pet area.

Greg

Greg:  It was #87. First one on the right in pet area. We really liked this site.  Good privacy, good view but a walk to rest rooms. Larger rigs would have a problem as there is a tree in the middle of the entrance, not a problem with a pop-up.

Phil:  Sorry we can't make this trip.  :( A little to far to travel for a short stay, especially after the extended holiday weekend we just took.  Sounds like you all have put together a great time. Please give a full report (with pictures) so the rest of us can share your enjoyment.  And have a Miller Lite for me :beer! !
