Wow I feel so bad for you guys. I know how much you care about your animals and to think that the vet in some way contributed to Nemo's problems is just terrible.

WOW..  poor poor Nemo.   Was it the vet?  or the hospital? that had it wrong.  Did he actually have the bladder/urinary tract issue??  or was it all the pneumonia?  I'm glad you have him where they know what they are doing!!   Hopefully he can now finally get treated for what's wrong and get better!!  GET WELL SOON NEMO!!

The vet and the hospital is the same place. It only took the ER vet 5 min to tell us what was wrong with him last night.

Poor, poor little Nemo.  Did they give him some antibiodics?  And are those different meds from what they give him for the bladder?

Ya'll, thanks so much for your support.

Jimmy and I are a lot better today! The vet at the ER, Cynthia Bayless was fabulous and the vet at the Internal Medicine hospital, Dr. Walker, was awesome!

Nemo has been in an incubator since 7:30 last night. In one sentence, the place he was at, sent him home last night to die. He was sick, they knew it and didn't want him to die on their watch. The vet actually told us he wasn't breathing right and was NOT sure why??????????? Well, that vet didn't take the time to find out why.......he sent him home because he wouldn't pee or eat on his on. Well, no, the baby wouldn't. His left lung was 80% filled and the right one 40-50% filled with fluid.....no, I don't suppose he was very hungry. I can tell you this, he had no problem peeing on me on the way to the ER last night. This vet should NOT be operating!!! What a sorry excuse for a doctor! The whole place should be shut down!

OK....on to the good stuff. They are taking EXCELLENT care of him at Internal Medicine!!! He is getting antibiotics, oxygen in a warm and dry place with lots and lots of love!!! He looked 100% better after an hour in the oxygen tank last night than he has in 2 weeks!! This morning, Dr. Walker told me his blood count was low, he was anemic and that they needed to find out why. I asked him if he thought that these problems were treatable and he said yes. They will keep him at least 72 hours. They brought him out and he layed in my lap and was more alert than I have seen him in days!!! I took him his bunny too. I can't tell you how much better we feel. I know he is just a cat, but he is our baby. I found him at 3 weeks old......he is precious to us! All of our animals are!

Anyway, thanks..........

We are too happy to hear that Nemo will be getting better real soon. It's amazing that we take not only our pets but our family members to the doctors and we are suppose to trust them on their expertise not only to find out that they couldn't fix the problem in the first place.

Sounds like Nemo will be back to his old self before too long.

Gosh Rhonda and Jimmy, I am so sorry for what you and Nemo are going through.  I am just sick to think of it!  Hope all is better soon.  Also, I might need to know which local vet not to visit!  Word of mouth is a powerful advertizing tool for the good or bad!  Best wishes as always.

Thanks ya'll....

I'm just going to say this one more thing "bad" and then its all positive from here on out......Dr. Walker told me he wouldn't take anything to that vet. He said that they are "known" for being the worst vet in the area and have a reputation that isn't not good at all. I won't mention any names here, but will be GLAD to tell you when I see you all next!

Again...thanks for being the friends that ya'll are. Jimmy and I think a lot of you guys and have talked lately about how glad we are that we have met all of you!!

OK....all news from here on out is going to be positive!

I didn't get to see him today Richard because I had a hair apt. But, Jimmy went, sent me some pictures and said he was in a good mood and appeared to feel lots better and was happy. I'll let him tell ya'll how he was.

Thanks for asking.
