| Anyone know where we can find some original awning lights? Camping world and a couple other places all seem to have the same things. Where does everyone get their different lights?

A good idea that I do with my awning lights...
...I found a dimmer switch in the electrical dept. at Wal-Mart ($13) that accepts an extension cords. You plug it into your outlet and then your lights into it. That way when the you want just a little light around your camper, you just turn it down. It will handle up to 300 watts, so keep that in mind when you install your bulbs. I have 6 40 watt (6*40=240 watts) bulbs in mine and that's more than enough light when turned all the way up or just enough light when turn way down.Last edited on Fri Feb 29th, 2008 03:31 am by zigzag3337

Target has a good assortment.
Thanks for the dimmer switch idea. I never thought about it. My big awning lights are too bright sometimes.
Thanks

| Hobby World over in the Regency area has some. Try some of the craft and hobby stores.

we use rope lighting available st home depot or lowes...it's small lamps never need replacement.. you can roll it up like an extention cord....it comes in different colors and lenghts.. we just wrap it around the awning post and it gives off a good level of light and the best thing is it's cheaper than regular awning lights
