Mine is Gamble Rodgers State Recreation Area. We love the beach there. The quality of the sand is not to fine not to course just right. If you get a beach side site you can sit under your awing and watch the tide come in. We also have access to the intracoastal waterway for fishing and boating. The kids love the library at the rangers station they always want to check out books to read at bedtime.

We are a family divided!! We each have our personal favorites.
Mine is Wekiwa Springs in Apopka. The campground is nice, the swimming hole at the head springs is beautiful, and its hard to find a more peaceful spot than when you are canoeing down the Wekiva River. There are also nice hiking trails and plenty of fishing (the conservationists love when you fish the tilapia out of the river since they aren't native!) Even though you are out in the woods----civilization is close by in case you need anything or even want to spend a day at Universal or Disney. We have spent a week there and haven't left the park as there always seems like there is something to do. And the anticipation of hoping to spot a Florida black bear is too exciting!!
Zack likes to camp at home--a warm bed and cold AC!! He did say his favorite camp trip is in Eustis--- he thinks spending our family weekends at Camp Boggy Creek is camping----which is more like camping at the Hilton!
Alek loves to camp anywhere we drag him! Thats my boy!! He puts Ft Clinch at the top of his list & I think Wekiwa is second. Ft. Clinch is a great place for kids---the fort, the submarines coming up the river, hiking trails, fishing, bike riding & the beach----what more could one want!
Jenna doesn't have a favorite either---she just likes to camp!! She is happy sleeping in the pup parked in the driveway.
The jury is still out with John---he can't decide. I'm not sure if he can't narrow it down since he has so many favorites or what!! I'm sure he is happy anywhere we are with friends and family and there is a cold beer readily available!
Brandy's favorite place is Hanna Park or anywhere else she can catch a raccoon!

| Hi Everyone, My most favorite camping place would be next to a running stream any where in the Smokey Mountains in the Fall

We don't have a favorite yet, I don't think. We have camped all over the eastern US ( Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio) and enjoyed several spots but no favorite.
We have visited Fort Clinch (beach side) 12 times that I can remember. Not our favorite but Donna really enjoys it. Gamble Rogers was ok, not our favorite. Nothing beats a north Georgia SP in the summer but again not our favorites. There are so many and we have only dented the surface.
You can bet when we find that favorite spot, we will post it here.

Joe,
Is it tough to get a site down in the Keys? Do they have sites big enough for our 34 ft fiver? I love to snorkel.
