I camped New Years here in Jax at Hanna Park and spring break at Wekiwa Springs SP (Orlando) but summer is my main season. Memorial Day will be spent at Salt Springs in the Ocala National Forest with some of you, Early June it is Charleston SC. July back to Salt Springs, August it's St Andrews SP in PCB and then St George Island SP in Appalachicola. Labor Day along the Suwannee River at Stephen Foster SP for the mini rally, October will find me at Ft Clinch SP in Fernandina Bch on the ocean side. That will take me back to New Years. How about everyone else?

That sounds awesome Fla-gypsy...

Our plans are July Gamble Rogers if the baby doesn't come first the rest of the summer and early fall is baby, baby, baby.  We will be back to camping definitely for Thanksgiving with some of you at Gamble Rogers.

We go to GA Veterans this weekend with the "Tire's" then next weekend to Reed Bingham.  We then leave for our big trip on the 12th of June (we have reservations 7/4/2008 in  Bar Harbor Maine).  $4.50 a gal diesel may cut that trip a little shorter.

Upon return, we will be at Stephen Foster Culture SP Labor Day.  Then FT Clinch Sept 19th, Gamble Rogers October 3, Ft Clinch Nov 7, Gamble Rogers Nov 26.  And Tampa in December.  That brings us back to Presidents Day, MLK day and the unknown location of the 2nd annual Camping Rally.  Suggestions will be plastered on the board.

Bailiff that is a great line up.  That New England drive sure looks expensive.

Richard,

Have you been to Bar Harbor Maine? A couple of years ago we flew into Boston, rented a Cadilac and drove up the coast for 10 days. Stayed at Tuggboat Inn in Boothbay Harbor(my favorite stop) 3 days and went out Whale watching and had some great lobster. We then went up the coast to Bar Harbor. Stayed on the coast, adventured in the Arcadia Forest, went to the top of the Cadilac mountain and watched the sun set. It was beautiful. Then we drove to N.H. and I did some shopping at the tax free outlets. Then ended our trip in Boston. Went sight seeing and to the Aquarium. Great trip. Lots of cool things to see. Great country.

Stan you may want to created a new topic on 2nd annual trip to get some ideas.  I know Greg and I've been talking about it on and off.  Any ideas would be great.

We could start a poll for locations and dates!
If we wait to long we might not get one of the better Parks and group sites since the parks book up to 11 months in advance.

Both are great ideas.  Last year we had the rally early in March and that time seemed very good to me.  The 09 calendar has  March 5-6-7 as the perfect weekend.

Phil ,see if we can extablish a date and then we will go after a place.  What do youall think?:beer

Thats Ok with us,,,why not start the poll with the date and ask for location input and see what happens from there. We might need a  cut off date for the poll,,

Would you do the honors of starting the poll and a new thread  topic . My thought is run it for two weeks or so and decide on a date.  That far out, surely there won't be many conflicts of schedule.

If we can settle on a date, I would like for the Club to look at the Suwannee Music Park.  there is plenty of room and we can have a pavillion.  I think they would be open to a club function.

Not that weekend guys.  Not trying to speak for Greg as I know he is out of town right now...  But that weekend is in Bike Week and won't do for those members who attend Bike week for fun or work.  Also not the Gator Nationals Weekend for same reason.  I believe we should be looking at the end of March beginning of April weekend.

The location we all decide on will need to accommodate tenters as well as TT & RVs.  I know Greg mentioned having sponsors this year so place will have to be able to include them or not be too far.

Another thought if I may...  I know that Greg has already done some leg work regarding the 2nd rally too.  You may want to hold off on creating a poll until he has pc access towards the end of this month.  He can give you the details of what he has or has not done already.

In the mean time I can create a new topic for Rally for discussion.
