I think I'll make my simple tomato/cucumber salad for the dinner.

I'll bring Hash Browns to cook for breakfast (haven't decided on the easy already prepared frozen Ore-Ida or if I'll peel a few potatoes...will depend on how early and my mood).

                                I'll be happy to serve...

Thanks Al.

We'll need someone to bring some REAL BUTTER to go with the Vermont syrup.

I mentioned to Donna this weekend, we needed to get a griddle.  Found out those things are hard to find.  I had switched to Microwave bacon in the trailer.  No Frying for me in there.  I thought we could get a griddle and/or a fry pan to use sometimes to cook breakfast outside.  Especially in the fall and winter.

Bacon on the way:

Here are the ingrediants for the homemade pancakes.

Mama’s Pancake Mix

4 cups of self rising flour

3 cups of milk

2 eggs

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

2 tablespoons sugar

Mix all ingredients until mixture is uniform

Cook on a hot greased griddle

Makes 10-12 pancakes (6-7” in diameter)

Serve with REAL butter and REAL maple syrup

Please bring folding tables and chairs to the pot-luck if you have them. We'll also need these items for Sunday's Pancake breakfast.  I'm hungry just thinking about those pancakes.

Are blueberries in the grocery stores?

Lesa

Richard,

We have a microwave to cook your bacon if you need it at the breakfast.

Steven doesn't eat bacon so I'm going to love all the bacon. Especially the one with the rine on it.  My Aunt in Ga used to fry that kind of bacon.

Yummy.

I'll bring the Vanilla Extract, I'll also have oil, sugar and probably all of the other ingredients...whatever you need.

Maybe we can talk Joe into his World Famous Gravy, after all, it's how he won my heart all those years back!

Bacon suggestion...

Cook the bacon on a George Forman grill.  It cooks the bacon great.  Lesa, we have a small one if you want to borrow it this weekend for the breakfast.  So sad we are going to miss out!

I will go to Sam's or Winn Dixie in the next day or two and get a slab sliced up with the rind intact.  You guys are going to reclog Joe's and my arteries.

Hey Joe, with that gravy, biscuit and bacon combination, we should invite rescue 3 to be on standby.  Let's see,  pork roast, ribs, smores, biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, pancakes, butter, butter, and butter, Zocor, Lipitor, Crestor and if all else fails, I have a full bottle of Nitro.  We can get a jump start together.
