WOWWEEE, what a great gathering it will be!!!!! We always love a good Pot-Luck night.

What's your specialty, meat, entree, vegetable, salad, dessert,.......??

What would you like to bring to the Pot-Luck?

In an attempt to prevent too many duplications, I'm going to keep track of what everyone will be bringing to the POT-LUCK  at the Mini Rally Labor Day weekend Saturday night.

We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

You did say butter, right? Not the fake stuff the kids eat?

Phil,

Do you think with my new rebuilt pipes I could indulge in some of that real butte?.  As of now, I think they are still clean.

An old family friend use to tell a story of when he was a young man during the "Great Depression"and his mother trying to make ends meet would occasionally take in boarders.  One evening, during their supper meal, all were around the table eating.  His mother always fixed a good meal which included biscuits or corn bread as filler... and butter.  The boarder picked up a biscuit and just spread a large amount of butter on it.  Again the boarder picked up a biscuit and spread a larger amount of butter on it.  My friend seeing the boarder taking advantage of the meal said to the boarder, trying to be polite.  "Hey fellow, that butter cost almost a dollar a pound" , the border replied, "Good butter is worth it" as he spread yet another biscuit.  My friend was a Featherweight boxer in the 30's and politely knocked the border out cold.  He then threw the border and his belongings into the middle of Stockton Street.  Ray said he would deliver coal and wood 7 days a week to make up the difference.

Bring on the butter

Now that we've gotten through Silver Springs, and everyone survived, let's move onto the Labor Day Weekend Mini Rally. :bounce

Plan on attending the Pot-Luck 8/30/08, Saturday night?  What yummy dish will you be bringing?  Haven't decided on a dish yet, but plan on attending, let us know?

We're also planning a pancake breakfast Sunday morning. Interested?

See you soon.
