This morning we awoke to rain and more rain.  After breaking camp, we drove to the Ticonderoga Ferry that will carry us to Vermont.

Bailiff, how much was the ferry and how much did you save by taking it?

Very neat.  I wonder how often RV's & TTs get on the ferry.

Gypsy, I thought it was more but it saved me 120 miles.  It cost us $30.00.  A normal car is $8.00 and motorcycle is $4.00.   You get a $1.00 discount for round trip.

Mandy, the captain of the ferry says he takes RV's everyday.  Also small semi trucks to 30 tons.  They can put about 12 cars onboard.  This week has been extra busy for big rigs.  They started their 250th anniversary at Fort Ticonderoga today so all week, they have installed "Sutlers" row for the battle reenactment.

The ferry is pushed by a small tug.  It is guided by 2 large cables that rest on the lake bottom.

Richard and Donna,

How is the vacation going? What's the temperature up there?
