 Well what do you Guy's think about this, Being a full time RV'er could you do it, and I mean Full Time.... Now I know with kids you can't even think this way, but if you could... would you..... Myself it would take me just about One hour to be packed and out the door... but that is just me , I move fast .. Think about it, You see people doing it all the time, that could be you. could you do it ????

I could do it in a heart beat. When our kids are grown and Chris is ready to retire. I want to be full time work campers in the State park system. I think it is a great way to give some thing to the system and do what we love. The free camping is nice too.

We could be full timers. Heck we stay together in the trailer 30+ days at a time without problems. I would like to stay no longer than a month in any one place then move about 200 miles, then another month. We have found in our travels, a move of 100-200 miles really changes weather and scenery. Greg, when Donna retires, the only "work camping" I would do is to hook up and remove the chocks.
Our problem as with many of you, our trailer is not designed or built to withstand the harsh rigors and conditions of full time use. Our underbelly, tanks and plumbing are exposed to the elements so anything below freezing for any length of time would be bad.
 All of our proposed destinations would be away from the city lights.

That is our goal for sure.That is why we bought the outfit we have. Lord willing we will have it all payed for when we retire and be able to take off. Would like to do some volenteer work as well as do the tourist thing to keep things from getting dull.

| Would I? I would go today. Maybe not year round though. I would definitely have a very little low maintenance place to come back to though. I can see Aaron and I in some kind of class B or B+. Joe, that is what we would do. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They had snow Memorial Day at Cannon Mountain NH. Was 28 degrees for a few days.
I would really have to plan our moves or we could get a newer rig that could stand the elements. Anyway, if I am around when she hangs it up and Rick is finished, then we will at least give it a try.

We started as snowbirds in a Casita TT and then sold our house in Maine and told our kids to come get their inheritance as we were going to spend the rest! We went on the road for three years in a 35' Open Road 5th wheel and loved every minute of it. Decided to settle in Florida last year and bought a little place in Spring Hill. Sold the fiver and the big honkin' diesel and settled in. Within 6 weeks we were both bored and had Hitchitch wicked bad. Took us an hour to go out an buy a little class B to run around and have fun in. We're happy now.
I don't know if I would have liked full-timing with my kids, but I've met many who do and who just love it. A site that might be helpful is http://www.wheresmolly.com. Angus King was governor of Maine for two terms and the day after his last day in office (a snowy January day), he and his wife and two children took off for six months on the road to see the country, homeschooling their kids. Their trip is chronicled on the site and it's really great.
It's getting harder to find good parks at reasonable prices, not to mention the FUEL!!! Just a run up to Salt Springs and back this week cost $85!!! (Glad we aren't buying diesel any more!)
We sure have very fond memories of our full-timing adventures and we're so glad we did it. I say, GO FOR IT!
