Quiet around here this morning......everybody's exhausted after all the drama around the Silver Springs Thread Campfire last night!

How you feelin' this mornin', Joe? Bug bite better? No sign of the shovel?

I've never had so much fun on a thread in m'life! Can't wait for the campout to begin.....Yer all crazy wonderful!

Everyone have a great day. We're busy getting the house ready for my son and his family to arrive from South Carolina tomorrow for a weekend visit. It's been a year since we've seen 'em and those girls (9 and 7) are growing soooo fast!

Latah,

M.E.

Wow what a day for a power outage. We had a ten minute storm yesterday at 4:00 that took out a tree a power line and the cable. I missed the whole thing. I was suffering from some serious internet withdrawal last night. Now I know why.

Oh c'mon Dually!!!  I heard that the girls were going away this week and you were going have some nice alone time with Chris.  Geesh stories about losing electricity and all when you have generators! :P

ME if you like S.K.'s the Stand, which I totally loved and read non stop one summer in Jr. High, you have got to read his Dark Tower series.  Absolutely fantastic although I was slightly disappointed in the last book, but perhaps it was because it was the "last" book.

I have read that they are good down to earth people.

I don't where they are going. I don't mind losing the power so much. Like you said I can run the generators for days if need be. But when the cable goes out so does my internet source that is hard to take.

I think I would go stir crazy if my internet went out.  When Mark rebuilt the kitchen he put a data line for the laptop.  He's run the wire thru the pc room but hasn't dropped it down the wall yet.  I will have a kitchen one of these days!

Some reason wireless doesn't work so great in our neighborhood.  I think it may be our neighbor though.  As he as bragged about hopping or stealing bandwidth from others.

I know that happens from time to time but you can secure against it.

Mandy. We have a linksys wireless router that works great and you can program it to block anyone who doesn't have the security access code you assign it.. Much easier than wiring the house.. Wally World had them for around $50+-

Anxious to meet you guys..

Later.. Don:beer
