Valerie and I have reservations at Jekyll Island campground for Sept. 18, 19 & 20.  We will be in site 28G.  If you’ve never been to Jekyll Island now is the time to go.  We were also there in January this year and are anxious to go back.  The island is loaded with history and has plenty of things to do.  The historic district tram tour is a must when you go there.  The old guy who drove the tram new everything about every house and the rich & famous people who use to live in them!  We hope a bunch of you can make the trip with us!

There is still plenty of time left to make reservations and join us on our camping trip to Jekyll Island.  Here are a few pictures I took when we were there last January.

Dually & Cookie.....we are leaving for Jekyll Island around 10:00 AM tomorrow morning.   See you when you get there!   I think we are going to eat out Thursday evening and cook steaks on the grill Friday evening.  Make sure you bring your bicycles.

We're heading out to Salt Springs Saturday. My sister-in-laws birthday and that's where she wanted to spend it. I love Jekyll Island though. We went there for a wedding and stayed at the (back then the Raddison). I think it was once a Country Club owned by the Rockefellas. It was beautiful.

Hope you guys have a good time. Wish we were going. Maybe some other time.

We will be coming up Friday afternoon as soon as the DW gets off work, she is trying to get off a couple hours early. I could come up early by myself then we would have two cars up there. I don't like setting up after dark. Can't wait to get hold of some of those SHRIMP. I have to fix a flat on my bike today but she'll be ready to roll. See everyone at Jekyll    Dennis

We will be there Friday late afternoon early evening. I love shrimp but will have to pass on the Grits. I guess I am still a Yankee at heart. I never acquired a taste for grits.

We should be getting in around 7-7:30pm Friday. Oh Yea we no longer have the RV in the picture, we now have the 2008 Sunseeker.

Greg.....I'll probably catch some flack about this but, being from Kentucky, we put butter and a little bit of sugar on our grits!  Try it some time.  Butter on grits is common around here but most people think I'm off my rocker on the sugar part!

That is just about the way I eat Oatmeal. Butter and salt and pepper. I get allot grief about eating it that way. There is something about the texture of grits that I don't like.
