We are hanging in here. We did loose power overnight. I got up at 1am to a dark house so I put on my rain gear and hooked up one of the generators. Power came back on at 7:30.

Our yard is ridicules with downed branches and such. One of our neighbors two houses down lost a large pine tree that is blocking two thirds of the road. We have been waiting for a lull in the rain before we tackle it. All in all we have had it pretty lucky here just trying to be patient and wait it out.

I took a walk down the street and took some pictures.  We are really somewhat lucky in that the standing water is far from the house many of our neighbors  were not so lucky.

The first couple are from our back yard.

These are some of the nieghbors yards.

There was a drought?

Our power was out for 4 hours yesterday.  Came back on for a few and then shut down at 1:30 this morning.  Power finally came back up about 2 hours ago.  Thank giggles it's not 90* outside.  :D

We never lost power yesterday but it has been out along with cable since around 7:00 this morning.  We are running on generator power and AT&T air card.  I don't miss the TV to much but can't do without the internet!  The internet is what ham radio was years ago when you want to maintain contact during power outages, emergencies, etc.

We have our neighbor calling every few hours updating us on whats going on.

They said everything is flooded there...luckily our house sits on top of the hill so we were lucky. I hate when we aren't there and there are storms we don't even have boards up or nothing!!

This has been the worst storm I have encountered here since Hurricane Dora in 1964. The amount of rain dropped around our place is incredible.
