Hi everyone :-)
We are brand new campers from Jacksonville Florida. The last time I went camping was almost 14 years ago. Now, I am going again in 2 weeks and I am bringing my 3 girls ages 13,12 and my youngest will be 11 on March 11th. We are going to Ginnie Springs the weekend after my daughter's b'day. I am still in the process of searching and buying a tent. We have sleeping bags and I really am not too sure of the things I need to bring with us (it's just for a weekend) or how much is too much to spend on a tent (the girls may each be bringing a friend) We plan to do a lot of weekend camping trips throughout the summer. Any pointers would be just GREAT :-) We also, plan to attend one or more of your camping weekends depending on how this weekend turns out. My youngest daughter has Down Syndrome so really it depends on her but, I think it will be okay.
Nice to meet new friends,
~*Jayne*~

Hi Jayne welcome to the club. I would say you're going to need a tent with a sound proof room with that many girls. Unfortunately I don't think they're on the market yet.

Jayne welcome to the club. There are allot of great tents on the market today some even designed with an opening for air conditioning. I would suggest one that has multiple rooms. You will need the space if your girls bring along friends. Also you may want to consider a tent that incorporates a screen room into the tent so that you only need set up one unit.
