Welcome Grits!!  ~ Love the cow pic.  DH wants to learn the hows on Bluegrass.  He keeps downloading stuff on it.  Our son really enjoys listening and dancing to Bluegrass.

ONLY way to eat grits is with butter and salt....and pepper, too! Occasionally I put a little grated Vermont cheddar on 'em.

Now then, how do you like your okra? THERE'S an important question! Inquiring minds want to know.....

I only like my okra fried!

Mary Ellen

PS Welcome to the board, Grits! We're new, too.

Okay you got me I'm a northern gal.  First time I had grist was at Camp Lejeune and we only had 10 minutes to eat.  I saw the white stuff and though Cream of Wheat, milk and sugar.  I was a bit surprised!  At least they were plain so I could add the milk and sugar.

As for okra I like mine best when they're on someone else's plate and not mine!  :P

Fried Okra goes into the staple food category my friend! I have been known to eat some okra stewed with tomatoes and a dab of onion and bell pepper. Wow, I'm hungry.
