Hi, my name is Lisa and I recently joined. My husband Rob and our son Billy (6) love to camp. I do alot of traveling throughout Florida as I vend at various festivals and have been to alot of the private campsites that are rented to groups ( Ocala 4H, Wewa, Winona, Immokalee, Florida Bible Camp, Brandon Rotary, LaNoChe, Rybolt etc). I do alot of camping around the Ocala National Forest area and love to take the backroads and see what I'll find.  I previously worked at a Florida history museum and love to travel to places that I have read about to see for myself and imagine what it must have been like in more primitive times. On average I camp about 18 weekends a year.

We  have a Flip pac camper that has made camping so much easier - especially when I vend. It takes 1 minute to set up. When I get my digital camera fixed I will post some pictures on this site.

We are looking for a family friendly group to camp with and explore new campsites. It seems like alot of your group has RVs. Do you try to camp where people who are tenting/truck camping can also camp with your group? I know alot of campgrounds have the RVs and tent camping separate and we are always unsure where we can camp in the truck.

Hi Lisa!  The group welcomes any type of camping family, be it tents, truck, rv, 5th wheels, tt you name it we've got it.

We pick locations where all our members can camp.  However, the cgs usually end up splitting us up a bit because of their own camping rules.  No matter though, because we all end up at somebody's site to hang out and have fun.

So c'mon and join us around the campfire soon.  :D

Welcome Lisa

As Mandy posted all are welcome here.  So far most of our campouts have been at state parks so sticking together has not been a problem.  I love the idea of your truck camper and look forward to seeing it in person.  I have seen them for sale on the net and think they are the coolest.

Greg
