Only about 20 minutes from Savannah if my memory serves me right.  They also have an air conditioned group shelter with kitchen, outside bbq and seating for 150.  The park has 87 sites and 75 are currently available for March 12-14, 2010.

Gnats are always a possibility along the coast.  We were there mid February last year and did not encounter any.

If we go to Twin Oaks in Hoboken, we need to go in the spring for sure.  There looks to be very little shade.

We are talking about the Twin Oaks in Hoboken and not the one in Elko, GA right? The one in Elko has a rvparkreview of 6 & 7 & 9/10. The one in Hoboken has not information at rvparkreview. I was just checking.

Hoboken is correct.  This is not really a campground it is a Bluegrass venue that supports camping for its bluegrass activities.  It also seconds as a camping club rally location.  While I don't think this is the perfect spot for the rally it does offer us something most campgrounds can not.  The ability for all of us to get together for our evening activities regardless of the weather.

Keep in mind that most of the activities at the annual rally surround us getting together with each other not necessarily the parks  amenities.

It is only once a year that we all try to get together.  Twin Oaks would be perfect because there is room for everyone.  Just as I posted before, I would rent 2 or more spots so I can spread out.

The only thing I would question, are the sites on high enough ground to where water and mud would not be a problem.  I can say, it looks like a cow pasture that took another avenue.  If the ground is high enough, it should be fine for a couple days.

Greg, have you been there?

Richard I thing you hit the nail on the head with your cow pasture analogy.  I have not been there however Ira gave me his personal cell number and invited me to come up and visit.  He promised that I would not be disappointed.  I will go up as soon as possible and report back here.

I know that Knightfly and Ebenezer A camper  have been there maybe they can comment on the grounds during inclement weather.

Hey guys (Mzzz here)

Jimmy and I have never been there. We have been invited boo-coos of times but something always came up. I know that Gina and Ralph speak highly of the people that own this place and I also know that it is a lot of fun.

Our band is practicing tonight and I will ask about the conditions of the campground given bad weather. I am wondering if they are having any soggy issues due the rain we have had. Maybe this weekend might be a good time to take a look see if anyone has the time.

I will report back later.....or have the Beaver do it...:D

PS....looking at the picture, it does look like a parking lot....and no shade....but, if we were able to get in under the trees....that might be a good thing.

Yes all sites have electric and water.  There are four dump stations on site.

Greg I called my co-worker today to see how full they get during the festival and he told me that they get packed. That is why they go a week earlier and set up camp. So if you are planning to have a rally or mini-rally at the same time as a festival it maybe hard to accommodate a group of us.

We are always looking for a new place to go, so you have our vote too.
