So here are some ideas I had for the charity this year...

First rally we had two different raffles to support Camp Boggy Creek

Item Prize Raffle and a 50/50 Split Raffle.  The winners of the split walked away with $90 and we raised $320 for Camp Boggy Creek

2nd Rally:

We had no raffle, but had door prizes.  Because of the no raffle we asked everyone to bring some non-perishable food items to help support The Food Bank of North Florida Second Harvest

I haven't talked to dually yet about whether or not we would have enough sponsors for a rally before posting (I apologize).  So here are my thoughts...

If we have enough sponsors we could do another raffle with a 50/50 and money going to charity of club's choice (Jax Humaine Society, N. FL Second Harvest, or Camp Boggy Creek).

Door prizes only we could

1) hold a raffle 1-ticket per 1 non-perishable for humans or pets

2) People just bring a non-perishables in no tickets involved

Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions for other charities and then I can set up a poll for voting.

I like the idea of a 50/50 raffle and food drive.

I never know what we are going to have for door/raffle prizes until the last min. I kind of liked the way we did the door prizes last year where each campsite got one ticket. That way more people were able to get something rather than some taking home multiple prizes. I am up for what ever the group wants to do so lets here some more thoughts on the subject.

So I think we should go with each campsite have a door prize raffle.  And if we're lucky enough to to have some extra donations for prizes then we could do a 1 non-perishable for 1 raffle ticket.

So I will need the group to decide if they want to support the humans or the pets this year?

Shaggy votes for supporting the Humane Society. He says they really need cleaning supplies and pet food. Scruffy says if we make the pound a nicer place she could send Shaggy back! (hehehehe).

Definitely the animals!  I'm up for any of the choices, though I'm personally not big on raffles.  (Partaking in them that is).

I hope that when it gets near time to pack the trailers for the trip that we can get a reminder of what all is being planned!  I'll never remember this stuff when the time comes!
