Poor Danny & Kelly was one of our first members, I had a standing bet with Phil & Greg, that after meeting us they would sneak out in the middle of the night just to get away from us. I still can't believe they stayed.

p.s. Lovs2Camp, if you have a problem handling your firewater, stay away from my site. Maragritas start around 3:00 and don't stop till the bucket's are empty. And boy did we put a hurting on them at Hanna Park.

Wait a minute, I worked for the City for 34 years. I could get off any time I wanted. In fact, They made me take 13 holidays and 6 weeks of vacation or they would pay dollar for dollar for days not used. 
Take the time, if you don't, they will have to write you a fat check at retirement. Or worse, they may take it away all together. We don't want to hear the Mayor saying " We will build a $400 million Courthouse but you career guys will have to forfeit your vacation." 
Enjoy your camping while you can. Things may change to prevent these type of fun activities in the future.

Baliff,
You sound like someone who might have done the same type of work for the city that I do. It is real hard to get off around here. We have 80-85 people work here each shift and they only allow 6 off. I usually try and pick days that are not real popular. Next year I do have some holidays off and plan on camping somewhere.

I am a sergeant at the Jail. I worj 7am-3pm and I am the lucky one that gets to work in the Watch Commanders Office. I've done my time so I don't have to deal with inmate, just their families.......which is just as bad somtimes.

I have been here for almost 12 years now. Did you work at the jail or on patrol? As an officer I spent 4 years working at the back door of the jail...on midnights.

Did both,,last assignment almost 15yrs at the jail ion the Court Office and Releasing.Now a Deputy in St.Johns County,,dual certification,,transfered to a county position supervising inmate work squad,,LOVE it!! work 4 days a week,,off on Fri,Sat & Sunday,,13 holidays a year with my B'day off as a "personal holiday" for a total of 14,.Same money I make on the road and a lot less head ache and stress ,

I have heard that. I like my job, but I don't agree with alot of things the sheriff and undersheriff have done. It is like they are out to fire anyone who is not perfect. Mackesy and I coached our kids baseball teams together, that is how I found out about corrections. He is not a liked man, and I have told him that.
Oh, well, I like what I am doing and I stay out of all the political stuff and just do my thing. I agree with Glover. He seemed like a nice guy, but was not a very good leader......or spokesman.

Sites 4,7 & 8 are walk up sites so if any one wants one of these let us know and maybe we can secure it for you.
Who ever is going Friday morning can maybe do it for you. We are going to try to get there at check in time or a little earlier,,
