Would anyone be interested in participating in a beautification project at Gold Head while at the rally?

I asked the park manager if there was anything we could do during the rally to help out the park,  He has a couple of projects he would like to do but with limited funds has not been able to get to them.  Two projects that he suggested were to add fencing to some of the sites such as at Fort Clinch or to add lantern post like the ones at Manatee springs.  The park will provide the materials if we can provide the manpower.  I personally think it would be great if we could spend a few hours on Saturday morning and leave the park better then we found it.

Well I am going to help and bring along some tools.  I bet I could dig two holes before my system would need a recharge.  :beerIf my old ticker holds out, I may get 3 or 4 recharges.  :clap

Sign us up.  Maybe some of the older kids could help occupy the younger ones while we're helping out?

Greg, you know I'll help with the project, but from looking at Richards picture of the lake. I say our project should be find water, or extend the boat ramp to the St. Johns river.

I would be interested. Will there be any service projects that the younger kids can participate in? My 7 year old is in Boy Scouts and they do get a badge for service projects. It would be nice to get the young ones involved.

Maybe something like a "pick up trash" scavenger hunt and give a prize to the one who gets the most trash. Or have them assist the adults in some way.  Normally I would be into heading something up but right now I'm in a boot cast from my toes to my knee and I'm not supposed to walk or stand alot. This makes camping a bit challenging but I'm a trooper.
