You guys must be better cooks than me every thing I have tried to cook in that little camper oven has burned. Now I use it to store paper towels and cozies.

Greg, stick some dry ice in it and you could have more storage for beer!

I have the micro convection oven thingy and it works great better then my convection at home which I still haven't mastered! the oven is pretty big and has 2 shelfs so you can cook a couple things at a time
I personally like Mandy's idea though

| I am still thinking on what to bring. I haven't did much "real" cooking in the TT yet. I don't want any surprises.

Delores---Surprises are what make life interesting!
Add me to the list for dessert....maybe a cookie bar and some cookies. I'm open to suggestions---looks like the list is pretty well covered. What about drinks? Would it be easier for everyone if we brought a bunch of drinks ore even paper goods?
Deb
(p.s.....I don't have a camper oven so I can't bake at the campsite. I have a stove top, crock pot, electric fry pan. and of course the grill to do all of our food prep so keep that in mind if making a suggestion!)

I think everyone is suppose to bring there own place settings (plates bowls etc....)and there own drinks? I think we are suppose to bring a covered dish, or desert , or side type dish to share. It can be something bought or made and it can be something easy....if you don't want to "make" something or can't due to cooking limitations just bring an already made item if you want to.....
Surprizes are good too What ever you feel like.
If you want some easy idea's or things you can do on those items
Meatballs, grilled potato's or vegtables, Rice , sloppy joes, hot dogs or sausages
Cheese and crackers, Already made pies, cookies, cakes, Garlic bread, or french bread and butter , Corn Muffins or bread ......Salad
We do have a good list going I think.....we do have lot of peeps coming too....close to 100 people I believe (29 families average 3 per family plus who ever comes over for the day.
PS I have one of those margaritaville machines too!! I love it!

With all the talk about Margaritas I just want to remind everyone that Alcohol is not permitted in FL State Parks. I fully expect to have the rangers checking in on us while we are using the Recreation Hall for the Pot Luck Dinner, at the very least some of the camp hosts may join us for dinner.
Now I am not saying don't drink we are all adults and are responsible for our own decision's. I am just suggesting to you that a Margarita machine sitting out it plain view might be a mistake.
Everyone that knows me knows that I will have a large red cup in my hand and a bug on my face.
Greg

I know that it is not permitted....margarita machine will be inside....and frozen concoction will be in plastic cup only it will be a plastic red/blue or what ever color cup (plus I was thinking for the meet and greet not for the dinner)
Libations for after dinner and around campfire ....and maybe a afternoon one

| I still dont know what we are bringing! I guess it will have to be a surprise. I am use to having an oven and a big fridge, but now we are pop-upers and that changes the whole storing and cooking food situation. I sure do love my pop-up even with its limitations. Does anyone think paper products or condiments are needed?
