Is anyone able to confirm or deny the following. I heard that there was artillary training going on at Camp Blanding this week through Saturday. Also helicopter training. I heard or read this last week but have not seen anything else on it.

Or it could just be me fishing...I have been known to drop depth charges on days when fishing is slow....just to get a feel of what kind of fish are there !!!!

Hey Clyde,
Since we are camping across the road from you, should I set up a sand bag wall to protect ourselves from those "special lures"?
One advantage to our camping location...it makes for a short commute home from the ice-breaker.

No Jimmy, the lures don't become "special" untill I install the fuse. So the camp site "should" be safe !!!
But I am looking for a volunteer to hold the depth charge while I light the fuse. I use to let Phil do it, but his hands shake too much and he keeps droping them in the boat.

| I hope we don't get confused and mistake the Sounds of Freedom coming from Camp Blanding with our very own Clyde....

I had not heard anything about the shelling before I arrived on Wed. I was inside the camper reading a book about 8:00 when I heard the first boom. My first thought was someone was using gas to start their campfire and used a little too much. It actually shook the camper. I was standing outside for quite a while before I figured out what it was.
