Most of the members are getting a slow start today.  After a full day of work and fun, we topped it off with a gathering and buffet that would please a king.  Thanks to all the members and a Special thanks to Greg and Chris for their hard work to make this rally a success.  A special thanks to Mandy "Luvs2Camp" for putting on the fund raiser drawings.

CrazyCamper took took home the most honers.  Traveling from Maryland, they traveled the furthest.  Their shy Miniature Collie won the Cute Pet contest.  Then at the Pot Luck, Vickie and Dave's numbers were called in the prize contest.  Then at the end, they took home a victory in having the winning ticket in the Half and Half.  Great going Vicki and Dave.

In about an hour, the returning caravan will be visible trekking out the front gate of Gold Head State Park in their attempt to have a safe trip home and dreaming of "Can't Wait Till Next Year".

Have a safe trip everyone....:clap

Maybe we could call the fall rally "First Annual NEFLCC Fall Rally" or find a theme to attach to it.

All I can say is "I Survived the First Annual NEFLCC Rally" !!!!

For an event that started out with all the makeings of the Titanic shipwreck, thanks to mother nature. It turned out Fantastic, thanks to all the Great Members of this group !!!

Dawn & I arrived around 3:00 p.m. Friday, to the welcome of pouring rain, frequent lighting strikes, and gale force winds. We set a Olympic world record in setting up the Pop-up. Its amazing how fast you can move out of fear. After the lighting backed off a little, Greg &  I set ;up a tarp for the Smoker. Knowing the the Meet & Greet was down the tubes, we returned to our campers to dry off. Well about 7:00 I took two lanterns out to have enough light to fire off the smoker and get the chicken and ribs started. I went back in the camper to get something, and when I turned and looked outside here came members in panchos, umbrellas, and rain suits.

I'm Proud to say the members of this club are true "Hard Core Campers". We sat outside in the wind and the rain, shooting the breeze, laughing, sharing camping storys, and making friends for life.

Saturday morning greeted us with strong winds and droping temps, but after Friday we were ready for anything, we were not gonna be denied a Great Time. I steped outside the camper and shook my fist to the Heavens and said "Is This All You Got, Bring It On !!!". Then a loud "Boom" I ran back in the camper just knowing I had made God mad, only to find out it was artillery shelling from Camp Blanding.

We knocked out the buffer areas in no time, and then it was time to play and eat. Like Richard has said, the Pot luck dinner has a meal fit for a King. I have never seen so much food in one place before in my life.

I'm sure there are a lot of behind the sceen people, who made this possible and I hope you forgive me for not naming you all. But I do have to say "Great Job"to Greg for organizing this event and pulling it off. Joe thanks for the Road Kill Cafe sign, I will display it with pride.

To all of the members we have meet before it was great to see all of you again. And to all of the great new members, it was a pleasure to meet all of you and I hope we get to see ya'll again soon.

Till next time Happy Trails !!!!

Clyde & Dawn

p.s. I will post Dawn's pictures as soon as I can.

It was great to see old camping buddies and meet new ones. Greg and Chris, you did an outstanding job of putting this together. Kudos to Phil, Clyde, Richard, Mandy, Vickie, and their spouses for their efforts to make the rally a success. The Rally was great!!!! I don't think anyone really wanted to leave today. The weather turned out beautiful. It was great to meet everyone in person. My only regret was pulling in late Saturday which caused me to be in catch up mode and miss out on some chatting it up time with other members. I'll be watching the calendar though for opportunities to camp with you all. Clyde, you are a grill master. That meat was so tender. I went to the frig this morning looking for a piece of that pork roast to fix a sandwich and didn't have any. I could taste that roast. I almost woke you and Dawn up.

Phil, I forget to thank you for the name tags.  Without them I would have removed all doubt that I was suffering from CRS.
