I don't want to give away too much before the book is published.  Since I'm only on chapter 2, I will need to keep flattire around for awhile to finish the book.   Look's like he'll make it to the mini rally, I can't guarante the annual rally.

I have not checked the GA reservations site in awhile but there should be plenty of room and we would love to have you.

Anyone know if there are horse shoe pits or a volleyball area?

Dont miss the thrill of the "Big One That Got Away" from a Tire,

Or your very own, private skeeter containing a dose of everyone's DNA.  Don't miss the flying teeth about sundown on Friday and Saturday.  I know I would not miss it for the world.

31 sites to 50 foot length available as of 1:46 PM today.  So half are gone.  All the fence straddlers better get onboard.

Hi Greg,

How are things coming along for the Rally?

Hopefully we have a good crowd going!!

Reminder to all new and old members:

Make your reservations NOW!!  Come on out and meet a great group of folks.  We enjoy lots of good food, share funny stories around a campfire and meet new friends.

Don't miss out on a good time.

Mike and Denise are booked! We had our baby girl 08/29/08 and are ready to camp again. Our 3 yr old (Anthony) will also be attending with us.

Well, I'll be darned if I can find it, but somewhere on this forum I mentioned that I would be happy to help kids build Fairy Houses. I would even offer prizes, if desired.

Fairy Houses are originally a New England thing. I am a New England thing. My grandaughters REALLY loved bulding them when we were camping with them.

There are some delightful books about fairy houses that you might want to read to your kids before/during our rally.

Here are a couple of links for you to look at (and a million more if you Google up fairy houses):

http://www.fairyhouses.com

http://www.spokaneoutdoors.com/htm

Let me know what you think. I would also need to know ahead of time, approximately how many kids would be participating.

Mary Ellen

Mandy ~ I would think Taylor would be happy to help with the crafts. We'll probably be dragging Natalie along with us too.

M.E. The Fairy Houses look way too cute. Your grandparents must have been really cool.

You are always coming up with some of the cutest ideas.

27 sites still available for the Annual Camping Rally at Crooked River SP.  The state says these will accommodate up to a 50' unit.

Billy and Dale I am glad to hear that you will be joining us. We will start planning the pot luck as we get closer to the rally. We normally just post what we are bringing so that we don't have too many duplicates. The potluck will be held inside at the campgrounds recreation hall.

VOLUNTEER THREAD: An idea to help our parks and campgrounds now that many have had to cut back on staff. When we camp, let's pick a project to do at the campground that will help them out. We can/don't have to, though call ahead to ask the ranger what we can do. If you are interested, please post here, okay?
