Heather and I where working on our Rv yesterday and found deep in a compartment that we have not looked much before a box containing papers dating back to 1940!!!!
After going thru all the paperwork? I have come to the conclusion its the kind of paperwork a family would gather after a loved one dies.
I found an original marriage license from 1940. A cemetery deed dated 1963. Insurance and paperwork for the same period and a bunch of letters from who appears to be the son of the lady who apparently died dating back from 1959. He writes his parents from basic training after he joined the Army. The letters go forward to 1965 describing his career progress in the Army in different commands. The envelopes and paper are in pristine condition like they came in the mail yesterday! I even found Valentine's day gift cards from her Dad (I assume) to his Mom (The lady who passed away) dating back to 1960.
For those of you who know me well? You already know what happened next! LOL I tracked down this "Son" last night who is now approx 60 + years old. He is supposed to contact me today!
I can't wait to tell him what i found and ask him what is the relationship with our Rv?
I'm sure there is an emotional story behind all this. More to follow...
