Well from my prospective, they are still "Science Fiction" for the average consumer.   It is true, we have hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, but they are expensive, not efficient, and locating hydrogen is difficult.  I believe that if the raves from the so called HHO generator inventors were correct, the major automotive producers would have them engineered and installed on every new vehicle made.   The federal mandate's on emissions are increasing again in 2012.

We of course should look for ways to decrease our use of fossil fuels.  I will leave it to the experts to produce and prove the HHO system will work and be safe for the average consumer.

I'm not an expert in this area, but I can tell you that it can and does work. An increase of gas mileage will depend on the number of fuel cells installed. As far as expense goes, the numbers I've seen and heard are less than $200.00 just depends (all home made). I've been talking to a guy here in town that has done the change over, just was wondering how it will work on a v-10.
Now far as safe goes, this is not in a compressed cylinder. I'm still researching.

Well, I may be wrong but I was under the impression that these generators produced hydrogen gas.  As I remember studying, the Hindenburg was filled with hydrogen gas.   Very explosive, doesn't have an odor.

Good luck with your endeavor.

Please don’t think that I’m going to be driving around J’ville with something like the. Hindenburg. This is a total different system, the Hindenburg had 10 of 1000‘s cu ft of storage for the gas, this in turn in the size of a liter jar, no storage, gas is used on demand. We did sometime like this in science class in the 7th grade, many moons ago. If you get bored check the car and lawn mower on you tube.

Phil, did you read the review in last Saturdays TU about the Smart Car?  Only 33 MPG.  There are an awful lot of cars out there that get better and have room to stretch out.

Toyota Corolla , Honda Civic, and Ford Focus all get better mileage at highway speed with a lot more comfort.

No I didn't :?,,I had heard they get really good mileage:shock:,,since I buy American cars,,guess it will have to be the Ford:X,,really prefer the Chevy line though. Driving about 97 miles a day round trip to work getting rather expensive:(,,

Think about, why would auto, oil companies or government want this? They don't and won't support it. I don't want to stir the pot,but think about it open mindedly($$$$$). There are several theories on this, I will only list 1.
If there is no gas, then there is no gas tax(at .25 cent gallon, how many gallons does the US use a year????). If there isn't gas tax, what will be taxed for the shortage? I suggest that you (all) spend time and research this subject (hho generators) to come to your conclusion.
I've got my and it's not pretty.
Clue-when you research this don't limit yourself to the US.

I couldn't agree with you more!!! The Oil companies and the middle east are in business together and the .25 cents a gallon tax is loading a lot of pockets,,I spend approximately $80.00 a week for gas JUST to drive to and from work:shock:,,about 100 miles a day,,that adds up,BIG,,,for taxes and where does it really go? No one knows really,,do we!

There has to be a better system. I for one don't believe the fossil fuel theory,,research it and you will find it is ONLY a thoery,,no real proof.  If you remember in the 70's it was being stated there was only enough oil to last another 50 years + years or so,,therefore the prices went up due to low reserves,,so we were told :X,,

Grin and bare it,,it's only going to get worse,,,reguadless WHO sets in the Oval Office,,to much money to be made...

Phil
