I drove on the dragon on memorial day weekend, But I was in a truck. Wish I could go. Would love to see those mountians again. Please be careful, my brother-in-law said he hears about riders falling into a gorge all the time. They live in NC near the tail.

Rode 129 once in 2000.  There were several areas where one could observe motorcycle and car parts still hung to skinned up trees.  I thought it was quite ironic that some of the marks seemed to be 10-15 feet off the ground.

Joe, you take care.  I have become fond of the "Tires" so be on your best behavior.

Semi's still travel that road too.

Maybe it was because they were riding a Honda?

People live with clogged up things for a long time.

I don't think you can reach "lifes balls" by reaching from the edge. Be careful it looks scary. Drive slow.

Plus your grandchildren need their grandpa around for a long time.

I would love to Joe but my daughter is getting married in October and I think she is going to break the camping budget for that month.

Sorry Joe.

I guess the combination of the deadly pictures, "dangerous road that you have no business being on", 53 yo with a clogged heart and grabbing life by the kehonas just made me worried.

Trust me, I got it. Just be careful. I've had a life threatening issue I'll tell you about someday. It makes you take a look at your life and the way you're living it. What you've done and what you want to do and haven't done it.

I haven't known you long but I think your kinda nuts too (in a good way). Especially living in that house with Dana and the shovel in the trunk. You do like living on the edge. :)

Thanks for the invite but can't do the motorcycle thing. One of my best friends was killed on one.

Have fun.

Been there done that......Broke the bank for a few months.

Now 3 grandkids latter, still breaking the bank...

Joe, have a great time taming the Dragon.  If possible, stop along the way and take some Pics.   I just love that area.
