Or too many of those beers.

How are you looking for new posts? I just click on the recent tab and it lists all the newest posts. You can also look at the campfire on the home page if the campfire is animated then there are new posts in that section.

We spent a good part of the day today taking down a large pine tree that had a substantial lean to it. The lean was over the neighbors fence and could in the right wind land on their house. I have been wanting to get it down for some time and the impending high winds gave me a good reason to get to it. I also mowed the grass and put up lawn chairs and other items that might get blown away. I know that if it reaches us there won't be much left but better safe than sorry.

Greg

Hey, those so called experts still do not know where the storm is going.

You would think, this country put a man on the moon 40 years ago (or was that filmed in a studio) but cannot tell the path of weather.

I have a small oak that will bite the dust tomorrow morning.  We just don't need this right now.  M. E.'s plans for the big bend area squashed because of Fay.

On Tuesday, I plan to hook up the trailer to the truck just in case the wind decides to push it backward.

We throw the pool furniture in the pool. I'd almost like to get rid of the big trees near the house.

Yahooooo.....school is back tomorrow.

Gas containers filled 3 generators on ready mode.40 mile winds arn't bad but I guess it depends on the surrounding trees on power outages.

You would think the city and schools would wait to within 24 hours before calling "wolf".  The schools have canceled all after school activities for Tuesday.  All school missed will have to be made up later, of course, ruining our camping plans.  My fault?  Well yes, they do call them "weather days".

If we do have 40 mph winds, it will reek havoc on the west side electric grid.  If you live on the west side, JEA has not followed through with their promise to trim limbs and keep them trimmed away from the wires.

If it is anything like the last tropical storm we had, no electric service for 4 days.

I will fill the generator cans tomorrow if need be.
