I have not tried this yet (I'm gonna try this today with my nephew as he wants to make them) but a friend told me she makes these and they are good and the kids like them, I will report later on taste)
2 Eggs unbeaten
1 cup sugar* (see note on bottom)
1 1/2 c. chopped dates or rasins
dash of salt
2 Cups rice crispies cereal
1 c shredded coconut
Cook all ingredients except rice crispies and coconut on low heat for about ten minutes stirring constantly.
remove from heat add two cups rice crispies roll into balls and then dip in coconut (let cool)
makes 36
* she says the recipe calls for 1 cup but said it does say they think that was sweet and they used less , so she used only a 1/2 cup and thought they were fine that way
