Howdy folks,

I was asked to do a review of the camp ground I went to a couple of months ago, so here she goes, Went to Ft Pickins national Park, its a old civil war fort with great campgrounds near by, located between the Gulf and the sound over looking Pensacola bay, there's hiking and biking trails, very quiet and not very well know, as it just reopened this past spring after being closed for 5 years do to hurricane damage, It has 2 camp grounds within walking distance of each other and not far from the fort it self, both have full hookups. The fort offers free tours each day at 2PM or you can walk the fort yourself anytime, its very interesting place as they kept Geronamo, his family and other Apachies there as a prisioners for 2 years from 1886 to 89. Maybe some of us can get together sometime and do a camp out there.  There are no stores close buy so bring what you need , its a 20 minute ride to town. Watch out for low tree limbs in some of the spaces, the park ranger let me go thru the camp sites and pick one that was suitable for my rig first and I was glad I did, as always some are nicer than others
