5 deer met us at the entrance.
Good place to get away from everything,  Fargo is 18 miles away with a Cafe that is only open 6 days a week closed Sunday. The town has a Convenience Store  with gas and Diesel, .
Don't go in rainy season could very easily have a water front lot,at your door step.

Hey Ed did you rent a boat at the park marina and explore the swamp. No trip to this campground is complete if you didn't venture into the swamp.

Yes it was way to cold to be on a boat! But I knew that we were only seeing a small part of this campground. And I did'nt see any boats leaving the park. It does'nt look like a place you would want to be in the summer( NATS) But I might be wrong.

I think we were there in late Mar or early Apr. The bugs weren't bad, and everything was starting to get green. Really pretty. The deer would stand and look at the dogs without any fear whatsoever. Did you go out on the boardwalk into the swamp?
The lady in the store said the bugs would be bad as soon as it got warmer. We've planned on going back but somehow it seems like there's always somewhere else to go.
See you --- Billy

I think it was March when we went and the weather was perfect. We didn't have any problems with the bugs but I can see how that would change in the warmer months.
