Lesa,
Notice I said best SP in Northeast Florida. Ft Clinch beach side offers No shade, puddles when it rains and an old bathhouse. I can overlook these shortcomings because, you can stand on the boardwalk across the dune and see St Mary's Ga. You can walk 300 yards south to a 1/2 mile fishing pier. You can bike several miles of paved roads or if you have enough fortitude, ride miles of off road bike paths. You can visit a Civil War era Fort and during the first weekend of every month chat with those who served during those times at the living history programs. You may even see a Nuclear Submarine on it's way to or from Kings Bay.
Spring and Fall are the top times for us. You can sit by the fire on a Fall evening and hear the surf as a cool breeze makes you want to put another log on the fire. Then when its time to retire, open the windows and listen to the surf until you fade away.
You see, I get this wonderful park along with a program in November that makes me feel Patriotic, and honors those who served our country. While others may not feel the presence of history, I do and love being in that fort at night. Do you believe in Ghost?? I don't either but I feel a presence during that program..

Bailiff,
With that description of the park I felt like I was lounging by the water on the beach. ahhhhhhhh.
I'm definately looking forward to the experience. I tried to take my Girl Scouts there when they were little, but it started lightening and we couldn't go. I think Taylor will love the program planned.
Ghosts........they have ghosts at the Fort? Do I believe in ghosts? I'm definately a scardy cat.....if I see one you'll surely know it by the loud noise coming out of my mouth.... if I have to walk somewhere in the dark at camp, I make Steven or Taylor walk with me.
Hope to see you guys soon.
Lesa
PS. If you and Donna don't have anything planned for New Years, why not join us at Hanna Park. I know it's not some folks favorite spot, because it's so close to home, but it'll be fun with everyone that is going.

I am not a believer of ghosts but our neighbors is he belongs to a group of ghost busters or detectives out of St Augustine I believe. They travel around to various places trying to find ghosts. I get the biggest kick out of his stories. Reminds me of snipe hunts when I was a kid.

| Well I did'nt believe in ghost myself until we moved into this house, NOW I DO. If the last thing I do, I'm going to get her to talk to me, Sometimes I can hear her walking around the house But I can't get her to talk.....

| Well let me tell you the story behind this and why I think my Ghost is a Girl, Dana's parents had about seven acres of land on the south side and they let me keep my equipment there, well anyway we get this call one night it was from my brother-in law, he said Joe I think your son is out here and he left his lights on in his car, Did'nt think much of it because him and his girl friend was all the time trying to find a place to park (you know the rest) Later on got another call about the lights,So Dana and I decided to check this out , came all the way out here to find a young girl in the back seat of her car dead , No my Son did not have anything to do with it her car looked like my Son's car ( red ) so everyone thought that was his car parked there , anyway I got out of my car and walked over to the car and she was in the back seat not moving, she took a long drain pipe that I had laying around and hooked it to the muffler and put the other end in the car and got in the back seat and just went to sleep, We called the Police they came out did the investigation hauled her and the car away and that was the last we heard about it until about one year later when we decided to build a house on the same piece of land . (AND NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY)
