High Falls State Park in Georgia is very close to I 75 and a great spot. The falls are beautiful and the CG nicely wooded. Indian Springs State Park is less than 10 miles away. While there, ride over to Jackson, GA and eat at Fresh Air BBQ. Some of the best BBQ and Brunswick stew. I have a few pics in my link.

Wow! That does not sound too bad! And it sounds like it has some beautiful scenery too. We are gonna have to plan a trip there sometime.

We have stayed there as well and really liked the place. My kids had a ball playing in the creek. There is also a small family owned water park just down the road.

We stayed at Indian Springs as a coin toss last summer.  Both parks are a short drive to both Madison and Monticello.  Both towns survived Sherman's march to the sea by not being totally destroyed.  Many of the old homes still stand left untouched by Sherman.  We will try High Falls this summer on our way back home.
