I took the family last weekend to Fort Wilderness.  We had a good time and the weather was perfect.

We went to Animal Kingdom Saturday and Magic Kingdom Sunday.  We fished, swam, did the Chip and Dale campfire, watched a movie on the big screen Disney has on the campground and drove the golf cart everywhere.  This is a very fun and relaxing place. FYI. My 4yr girl conquered all 3 Mountains at Magic Kingdom (Space, Thunder, & Splash):D

My daughter is enjoying fishing and camping.  We even took her tent camping a couple weeks ago at Little Talbot Island and she loved that.

Flat tire, when we were fishing at the stock pond, MY GIRL told some man from Wisconsin that her and her daddy catch fish and she catches Red Fish, Drums, Stingrays, catfish, trout and bass. That dad said, "You have girl that fishes, that's awesome".

How do we post pics?

Thanks :-)

We're going to Ft. Wilderness July 3rd - 6th. The last time we went I was 12 yo. I can't remember exactly how much we are paying. I think it's $60 or $70 per night. You really don't have to go to any of the parks because so many things going on in the campground. But we plan on visiting Blizzard Beach. Great water park.

Ft Wilderness is pretty expensive.   2 nights and 2 admissions to 1 park was $319.38 in March 2006.

The Campground is real busy, I mean buses running every where, golf carts up and down and a lot of noise.  Campsites are real close together being designed in the late 60's  opened in 1971.

Like others have said, you really don't have to leave the campground but you can.  We rode the buses everywhere.  You can ride the shuttle boats to the parks too.  Fireworks are visible from the campground at the end of every day.

This time we paid $75 a night and this was peak season. We have season park passes. Non peak season we pay $47 a night. It's much cheaper than staying in one of the Disney Resorts.

The Kid loves it and so do we and so do many others because these campgrounds book up fast.  It can be nosiy, but if you have kids you have to be use to the noise. :)
