We stayed at this state park because it was nearest to my brothers home. He lives in White Gables in Summerville S.C.
The park manager was the nicest guy in the world. The website indicated that a two night stay is required. We didn't know that we were going to stay there until the last minute. We only needed to stay for one night, but because of the proximity to my brothers house, we were just going to suck it up and pay for two nights. Each night is only $15.00 or so, so it wouldn't have broken the bank. The park manager allowed us to stay for only one night and only charged for one night.
There didn't appear to to be a whole lot of sites, maybe 25, and it is first come first served.
The state park is on a river, but the campsite are not waterfront.
The sites appeared to be plenty big enough for big rigs and our site was possibly the biggest in the park and right next to the bath house and restrooms (lot #9). They only have water and electric. There is a dump station available.
The bath house and restrooms were dated, but clean and well maintained.
I have no idea what is nearby in regards to points of interest, but there is a convienence store and liquor store close to the entrance to the park.
I would recommend this park and visit it again. It suited my needs excellently!
