We stayed here as a cheap place to stay while going to the Pepsi 400 in Daytona. There are more private sites with more vegetation blocking the neighbors but some sites are very close together.
This is like camping in the heart (and heat) of Florida. Lots of palmetto, pines and scrub vegetation and that wonderful central Florida sand. Oh - and lots of mosquitos too so bring the bug spray.
There is a statue and a fountain of an Indian chief that has definately seen better days. There is also a boat launch area which is very basic. If you do have a boat this is a good place because the Tomoka River is beautiful however if you are looking for somewhere in Central Florida to camp I recomend Blue Springs over Tomoka. If you are planning on camping during Bike Week or Speed Week you should reserve your spot well in advance because this place fills up.

Also keep in mind that they have a 12 foot height restriction at this park...
