Ok so far this is a truck camper campout only. Me, Bill and it looks like Ward and Linda will be joining us with their Bigfoot.

We need Wheelholder to bring his Lance and join in.

But it doesn't HAVE to be only truck campers. We're not trying to be exclusive or anything!
Come on over!

That is why he said camping. If you got TV, Hair Dryer,Micro wave, stove and all that it is called drinking in the woods.:beer:relaxedWink

That's just Jimmy's excuse. You can have all those things anywhere. Even a vacuum cleaner to pick up the sand. We still call it "camping", but I guess it does stretch the definition a bit!

This sounds like it could be fun...  In fact (talk about timing!) I just spent this afternoon finding and fixing yet-more water leaks,  and in so doing prepped and repaired the water tank and electric pump, which means we'd be able to use the water!.

Also, I've been keeping it a secret but I happen to have one of those Honda EU3000is digital inverter generators. so Electricity wouldnt be a problem, (and the thing is so damned quiet you cant barely tell it's running!)

I can't look into it right now though, but what's the availability look like at the present time?

I have not checked the availability of sites lately but when I made my reservations I was the first one for that weekend so I would assume that there is plenty of room.

WeGo will be beach camping in the Bigfoot -- site 66.  Maybe we should bring our rubber boat or we may have to stand watch for rising water -- We'll take the day shift. NOTE: Life Jackets onboard.

Ward and Linda

You shouldn't need the rubber boat, but you want to make sure you have anchors bow & stern! You wouldn't want to go adrift.
We're glad you'll be there.
See y'all there, Billy

It is open to the wind, subject to Navy helicopter flyovers, sssaaannndddyyy, and the fishing is not very good as you are talking about a 6-8mph current most of the time. Can get some reds and occasional flounder. Camped there once when the Navy was doing training and enjoyed the whop whop whop of rotors at 2-300 feet all night long. I would reccomend Hannah Park as it's moresecluded, protected from the wind for fires and warmth, has more/better bathrooms and electric!!Plus it has paved roads and trails for hiking/walking. It has well stocked lakes for fishing and if ya really wanna get some sand in your shoes/trailer/tent, you can head over the dunes to the beach.

I am not a fan of Hanna. Of the two parks I actually prefer Huguenot.

I'll have a tarp and plenty rope, if there's any way to string it up. We're also going to have a screen tent.

We are bringing our canopy with the sides in case of driving rain.
There are no trees so I am not sure about hanging the tarp. But hey I never let a little rain get in the way of camping.
