We are looking for a Georgia park, preferably in the southeast quarter of the park for a week the second weekend of january. We don't mind cooler temperatures. We would like to be within a couple of hours at the most for day trips to sight-see. We don't have kids so its not necessary to have a pool, or other activities like that. State parks are preferrred. We have seen Crooked River before but I'm thinking Laura Walker might be better situated. Is there a park between the Florida border and SAvannah that might interest us that you enjoyed. The max stay would be a week or less.
Thanks
Jim and Linda

| Fort McAllister just outside of Savannah is a nice park. On the grounds of an earthen fort maned by Confederate troops during the Civil War. It is only minuets from Savannah. A couple of us are set to visit in February.

Blythe Island Campground is close to all the southeast GA sightseeing.
