Red Top Mountain State Park is up in the north-west part of the state near Cartersville... about 45 minutes north west of Atlanta. That's a good 380+ miles from JAX.

We've camped at Reed Bingham, too. We used it as a base camp to visit Wild Adventures. Worked out pretty good. Cordele and the SAM Shortline railroad is only about an hour north on I-75.

It's about 35-40 minutes down I-75 from the campground to the outlet centers in Lake Park. One of the larger RV dealers there has opened a KOA right next to the dealership.

There's mostly clothing & kitchen/housewares stores in the Outlet Mall @ Lake Park.

We live in South Georgia... so we've been to many of the State Parks with campgrounds.

I just asked Kim and she said that we HAVE to eat dinner with the family on Thursday, so it will be after the turkey is gone...

When everyone agrees on this place, then I will go ahead and book it.
