I know that it is a little early to plan a camping trip 11 months out but I reserved our favourite spot at Gamble Rodgers for thanksgiving weekend next year.  I really missed going to the Turkey Run in Daytona this year so I wanted to get a spot where we could do both (camp and car show)

Every site is booked for those weekends.  Do I need to keep checking this site every day in hope that someone cancels?

What dates did you check?  Technically  the weekend is not open for reservations yet as 11 months from today is only Thursday that week in November.  You can reserve the weekend but starting with a date before such as Thursday and then reserving three nights to include the weekend.  I hope that makes sense.  It is called bumping in some of the rv circles.

Definitely no beachside available at this point.  We booked #10 right across from you all.

Well Greg, we are in Blairsville Ga this week with some friends.  I noticed your booking at Gamble Rogers.  We were there this past Thanksgiving and we too thought we would try it again.  Got site 12, Nov 26-29 departing Sunday.

Richard  That is great news, Maybe you would like to Join us at the turkey run in Daytona Friday or Saturday (maybe both).  Chris and the girls will not go and I am not sure about Mandy and Owen but I am sure Mark is going to want to go see the show.

As much as I enjoy looking at cars I think the baby and I will be staying with the girls.  Mark will probably take Owen and his radio flyer to check out the autos.

Mandy,

I too have seen all the old cars I care to.  I do enjoy talking to some of the showmen that also camp at Gamble Rogers.  In November we met a couple from around Cordele Georgia that had a big diesel pusher.  He came driving up in a bright red 32 Ford roadster that he called his everyday driver.  We shared a few while there but he was all car show....:bounce
