For the folks that are going to Hanna on Feb. 8th, do we want to try and get together on Saturday night for dinner. Omar and I were talking and thought maybe each family make a side dish and we could BYOM (bring your own meat). Use one person's grill to cook everyones hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, "possum" or whatever turns the lid on your jar. I am new to this so any ideas would be great.
Also, does anyone like boiled peanuts? I was thinking about maybe doing some Saturday. That is if I can find any that are worth boiling. All I have seen are extremely small. I guess it has something to do with global warming or the gas prices.....(which I have notice are going down a little ).
Let me know.

Phil---I can send my dog along to catch a coon for you! She's good at hunting them down at Hanna----maybe a little too good--she caught one when we were there in Nov.
It doesn't look like we are going to make it for the weekend at Hanna. I'm bummed---I have been cooped up on pain meds after the surgery for the last 2 weeks and I am getting cabin fever. I AM READY TO CAMP!! (actually ready to drive, shop, work, even do some housework! Man-I must be crazy! LOL). I can almost smell the campfire and taste the smores! Maybe I better lay off the drugs--I'm hallucinating!
We are supposed to go to the family weekend at Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis Feb 8-10--- but I'm not sure it thats going to work out. I hope so---a camp out at Boggy Creek is like staying at the Ritz and better yet, I will be out of the house. If we end up not going, we may drive out to Hanna late afternoon & stay for dinner Sat night. I'll know for sure once it gets a little closer to the weekend. If we don't see you---have a couple of cold ones for John & I!!
Wising everyone that's going lots of fun!

Deb,
I'm glad to read that you are feeling better. I hope your recovery is speedy and complete so that you can get out soon. Erinn still talks about how good the donuts you made were.

Sounds good to me. I will get with Cindy to see what she wants to make. I know you folks don't want me to do any cooking.
I was thinking.....if it's okaty with you Omar, that we would eat at your site. We can bring a picnic table or two over to your site for eveyone to eat at. I though since you have the "Beast" and the outdoor stereo system you could play some of the good music (K C and the Sunhine Band) or something like that.

Hey Guys,
Add us to the list. We will be at site #11. I look forward to meeting everyone that I haven't met yet. I just checked the weather for that weekend and the forecast is for lots of sun and temps in the 60's. Whoopee camping!!! I'll get back with you guys on a dish for the potluck.

As most of you know, Dawn will be working that weekend. So I will give you 2 options. 1) Dawn can pick up something for a covered dish after she gets off work at 6 p.m., or 2) I can burn something for you (all kidding aside I am a good cook) just ask J.L. he loves my bacon & pancakes. I would be willing to cook some old fashion baked beans, with brown sugar, mustard, and bacon. The only problem with that is, at Phils age I don't know if his heart or Tina and J.L.'s nose can take it. The up side is we may solve the nations energy crisis and put OPEC out of business.
Let me know

Do the beans dude ,, and Yes JL does love the bacon and pancakes and any thing else he can find to eat,,the kid is an eating machine. I'll have to take on a second job when he hits his teen years just to feed him OR,,I'll send him to Uncle Clyde and Aunt Dawns for a couple of years ,,

| Clyde, that would mean confining Phil to a methane collecting warehouse loaded with lots of cattle. Do you think JL and Tina would mind?
