Dually and gang....

Hope you don't mind, we're going to jump on the Ft McAllister event.  Sounds like a neat place to visit.  We're looking forward to meeting some members of the club.

Tom, Christie, and TC.

Tom,

We will arrive Friday afternoon and take up residency.  I have used the pull throughs on the first road but might have to look further.  It will be good to meet you.

Joe, Dana, Tom, Christie, TC.  I was thinking about a "Pot Luck" on Saturday afternoon/night to get to know everyone.  Share some stories, some (:beer) and chat around the fire.   We were thinking about fixing a big pot of Chile and maybe some Cuban Garlic Bread.

Saturday afternoon, Donna and I are going to try either "The Crab Shack" or Uncle Bubba's.  Both have been given good reports on other forums.  Paula Deen has also been playing up Uncle Bubba's.  She mentioned it on Oprah.. Yea, I can watch Oprah on Mondays and Fridays.

My Donna is a "Seafood Maniac".  We used to go to some AYCE Crab-leg Places,  I have left her there eating and returned when she was finished.  She can clean a bone to where a dog won't smell it.  Anyway, chime in as to your thoughts and ideas.

Mandy, I wish you, Mark and Owen would come on anyway.  Leave early Monday for your Test.:bounce

Come to think of it, the only test I take now is a blood test.....

Christie is a big fan of Paula Deen... And we're both are crazy for seafood!  Depending on how TC (he's only 19 months) is doing that day, we'd be up for a good seafood snack.  We're careful not to impose and dine out that much with such a little one as it's not always relaxing.

As far as the pot luck, it sounds great.  I'll talk to Christie about some ideas... One of my camping specialties is a Low Country Boil.  We'll just have to get sites somewhat close, so the baby monitor will be in range once he's down.

We can remember those 19 month old kids.  Seems like only yesterday.  Now our Daughter has a college education, married to a Electrical Engineer, living on Lake Asbury with 3 kids.  Our son will be 21 in June.  He is a Senior at the University of South Florida and intends to get his Masters there.  My "FOOT" is ready if he decides to be a career student.

OK guys, with this warm weather in the area, we might need to have a "Cold Dance".  You know, a "Rain Dance" for colder weather.  If it stays warm, I am afraid the no-see-ems might have a field day.  The main reason we go to Savannah or Charleston in winter is to avoid the critters.  Hi-Ya-Ya-Ya,   Hi-Ya-Ya-Ya......

The Weather Masters are calling for 30 percent chance of rain on Saturday night and a 50 percent chance with mostly cloudy skies Sunday.  At least the temperatures will feel spring like.psword: I hope the rain and bugs hold off for Saturday night.

Well we made it to Fort McAllister State Park.  Met Joe and Dana at check in and visited a little.  The temperature was nice before the sun sat but it got real cool after sunset.  We will visit more tomorrow.

The Park filled rather fast as we sat up.  You know, Ga State Parks don't reserve a specific site.  Some poor soul was just now driving around and around and around looking for a site.

The traffic north of Brunswick was kind of heavy northbound and stopped southbound.  All and all, a nice ride.

Hopefully I can get some pictures and post some sort of review tomorrow.
