I am glad to hear that you had a good time at GR. I should have mentioned to you before that they have a kids library at the registration office there. Our kids enjoy checking out the books. In fact they donated 9 of their personal books to the library last time we were there.

Hopefully you will be able to get a spot at Stephen Foster. Keep checking RA for cancellations.

Hey Greg,

As of right now I have reservations made for this weekend, however I am having back surgery for a herniated disc this coming Monday, July 28th. I do not want to cancel the trip being that it's still a little ways out. I will probably will have to cancel our North Beach on the 8-9 weekend, so I will be looking forward to this trip to get away. I will make a post here if it comes down to us having to stay home.

Just to let everyone know how I hurt my back...It was washing my camper before the Manatee Springs Camping trip last month...Go Figure.

Richard

Richard I am sorry to hear about your back and I hope that the surgery goes well and you are back to camping as soon as possible. If there is anything I can do please let me know. There will be plenty of willing campers at SF to help you with the camper if needed.

Thanks for the help. I have learned (as of getting older...LOL) I have taught both of my kids (12 & 17) how to set up the camper. Now if I could just teach the wife how to back it in...LOL

Richard, if it is like the surgery I had for a bulging disk that was pinching my siatic nerve, you should be fine for SF. Just don't over do it. I would offer to help, but I'm crippled too. (broken shoulder) Hey we can just sit off to the side and watch everyone else do all the work. LOL

Thanks redfrog,
That's is exactly what it is. I have had back problems before, but never in my legs. My left calf has excruciating pain and my left foot feels as it's asleep. The doc said it's only a 2 hour operation and I should come home the same day. I'm 39 years old and it's got me, my wife, and my family really worried.

Thanks again for the piece of mind, it's really appreciated.

Richard
