Hello Knightfly,

Our family joined Al (Moosehead) and Cheryl at General Coffee for Thanksgiving. General Coffee is a really beautiful park that is well kept. We are planning on camping there again. If you want peace and quiet it is the place to be. We really enjoyed walking the trails there. I imagine once the temps start rising it will be packed; they have an Olympic size pool there. The sites are very large in the second loop. I have rode through Crooked River but never stayed there but will in the future.

Crooked river has plenty of large sites and is very quiet. Gnats are very bad at times

We have camped at Crooked River twice.  The park and campsites are well kept.  Inner area has simple pull thru spot and no privacy.  When you take a turn to the "back side" spots, there is usually some type of trees and underbrush to create seperation of spots.  Most are back in, a few pull-thrus.  The pool is broken and when we asked, there did not seem to be plans to fix it.  They have a minature putting course there that is in so-so shape.  There is no access to the river due to erosion except at the boat dock.  We tried fishing there but the current was very fast and had no luck.
