Anyone interested in getting together at Hanna Park the weekend of October 24th for a Halloween themed campout? I'll call the park and see if I can block out some sites for a group.  The sites start going quickly for that time of year so we'd need to make the plans now.

We could have a potluck for Saturday night or a progressive dinner. I'm open for suggestions.

If you call Hanna about a group outing and ask them to set aside campsites for you then they will require someone from the group to fill out a group form.  I only caution you about this as someone from the group will have to sign that form taking responsibility for the actions of all of the other members of the group.  I for one would not sign that form.

I am not suggesting that you not have a Halloween camp out.  I just think you may want to do it unofficially as far as Hanna is concerned.

Lesa,,

Count us in :beerbut I think everyone should make thier own reservations as Greg suggested.I remember something about the form that Greg mentioned in an earlier post. If you have a group of a certain size then someone has to be responsible for the groups actions,,as Greg stated that's not a good idea. What site were you thinking about getting so we can start making reservations?

Who knows,,,Clyde and Dawn may even join us if the boat is put away for the season,,OK Clyde,,I'm ready to go fishing again,,this time look out:P

Thanks guys. I won't sign anything. I've planned group outings for the hospital and they've never had me sign a group form. But there is always a first time.

We had 17 sites this past weekend, everyone made their own reservations but they blocked the sites for our group for the hospital.

We prefer the 50 amp sites. I'll post our site tomorrow after calling the campground.

Greg - I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. We'll keep you and your family in our prayers.

Thanks Lesa.

We will most likely not come for halloween we don't care for Hanna Park.

I'm sorry Greg. I thought this would be a fun theme for the kids too. We haven't had a bad experience yet with Hanna Park.

We love the sites, easy access to the beach, fishing (although I'm still waiting to catch a fish) LOL, bike trails and the new host campers are great.

Plus it's only 30 minutes from home. :)

We've been there twice since March and I'm flying my new club and family flags proudly.

I've just made our reservations. I had site 272 but changed it to 281.  We are arriving Thursday October 23rd and departing late check-out on Sunday. That whole area is available right now. But the office said that area fills ups quickly.

Our Halloween campout last year was great. We carved pumpkins and displayed them at night with candles glowing in the pumpkins.

Make your reservations now.  904-249-4700 I didn't save a group of sites so make your reservations soon.

I think the sites around there are big enough for Omar to get the Beast into. There are still several 50 amp sites available.  We are close to the cabins if anyone needs one.

We hope to see everyone there.  I love camping at Halloween time.

:campfire animat

See you around the campfire.

I'll mention it to Mark, but I think it will be a little too early to go camping with Baby J.  Maybe we can just come out on Saturday for a visit.  I know Owen would really enjoy himself.

I just wanted to let everyone know we changed our campsite back to 272 across from the cabins. A couple of our friends are going and renting cabins. They are a hoot. Lots of fun. I haven't heard of anyone making reservations yet so I didn't think it would be a problem.

Hope we get some more folks going. It should be alot of fun.
