Tell us more about the Encore park there, everything I read was kind of mixed reviews.

we like it for the river access to the gulf. the boat ramp is decent and easy to use. the park is quiet and clean. it has things for the kids to do, (heated pool , play ground, ice cream stand, etc) so theyre occupied.

they have a breakfast buffet that's pretty good too. plus the usual stuff like pot lucks, community campfires and parties in the clubhouse, etc . while we dont have kids, or usually go to clubhouse for anything other than the buffet, we like it. we stayed there last year for 3 months. some folks dont like it for the same reasons. cant please all the people all the time i suppose. Encore is also a member of Pass Port America, so they are half price. (always a good thing! more cash in your pocket means more camping!)

We just got back from the Encore Crystal Isle RV Resort yesterday.  We spent 3 nights there.  Went fishing in the Gulf 3 to 5 miles from the mouth of Crystal River but only caught small trout 12" to 14" long.  Our campsite wasn't on the canal with a dock but they do have a nice boat launch that we used.  I can't wait to go back.  I give them an A+.  http://www.rvonthego.com/Crystal-Isle-RV-Resort-CL22-8.htm
