Richard,

I was just joking about Ft. Clinch.  It rained everyday and I hear it rains there everyday.  The sites were very small and the bathrooms were closed the whole weekend.  We were told by staff that we could only leave our site at 3:30am and we had to be back in camp by 3:55am.  A raccoon name "Ricky" stated that most people hate Ft. Clinch and he asked if we were new to camping.  Staff told us we had to clean all the rooms inside the fort daily.   The skeeters were as big as buzzards and the place was covered in ticks.

Ft. Clinch is terrible folks, trust me.

I think I might go back in November for a little more BAD camping.

Stan,

I know site 6 has both outlets in the pedestal.  I can't say about any others.  I have stayed in sites 6, 9, 10 and 11 and to my recollection, the others did not have 50 amp.

Thanks Richard, We have been interested in going there for quite a while, but did not want go in the summer (for the Beach) unless we could get the Big Air (50 amps runs both) conditioning.

When are leaving for the north east trip?  We are leaving Wed (mid morning) the 11th.:relaxedfor Tunica and Memphis.

We're going Nov. 7th to Ft. Clinch. It will be our first adventure to the Ft. campgground. We made our reservation today.

There are still a few sites left on the beach side.

Hey Campbuds, Ft Clinch is a lot of fun. Be sure to tour the fort and if you walk south on the beach from the CG beach walkway there is some decent shelling available.

Stevencindy are right I think that you should never camp there.:) We enjoy camping there but it can be a pain to get the weekends that we want.
