We have a pair of the Honda eu2000i generators and love them. While they are not whisper quiet as some will tell you. They are by far quieter than any contractor generator. I use them separate as often as I run them in parrallel. Which is one of the nice things about the Hondas when they are run in parrallel I have the capacity of a 4000 watt gen. The only limitation is that I still only have 110. I have owned them for three years and they have never missed a beat. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a generator for camping or any other use.

| Just happens that I made a generator purchase yesterday. Ran into what I think was a deal at Tractor Supply, a Champion, 4000 watt max, 3500 watt run, for $189. Considering the price of a Honda or other name brands I thought this was a steal. If it last a couple of years then croaks, I'll donate it and buy another. From what I've read these get decent reviews and it does have 220 as well as 110 and has a 30 amp plug for a camper to plug directly into it. Stay tuned...

| We have one of the Champion RV ready generators also and it does a great job. We have used it at events and have had people to ask when were we going to turn it on. It is surprisingly quiet. We have the 3500 watt one from Home Depot year.

Mailman01, Serenity Road please feel free to post a product review for your generators. I am sure that our campers would love to hear more about them.
The Honda's are not for everyone I specifically bought them as I use them to power very expensive electronic equipment. The inverter technology and pure sine wave insure that my electronics are safe.

We have a Honda 1000 we use on the boat, camper and around the house. I use it every time I vacume the car, and that means it is always ready and starts on the first pull. Please use the darn things, (as opposed to letting them sit idle), and they will run longer.
Another, I switched the oil to Synthetic and change it every 5 hours or so. By doing this, they say the filter (which is hard to change) will last the life of the generator.

Stan makes a good point I exercise my generators every month. They will last much longer if you use them. I always here about the generator for sale low hours only ran once. Stay away from them.

| Sorry for highjacking the thread. I like Honda eu2000i too and they are a dream. They are great for tech items and high end equipment. I had a Honda eu2000i but realized I would do more campground camping than anything else so I took mine back and spread the money around a little more, being that I was a new camper and needed many must haves. One day, I'll get another one or two because there are times on the road when I wish I still had it. They are easy to haul around when you are trying to watch your gross weight.

| We have two Honda eu2000i generators with the parallel kit which allows them to be connected together and produce 4000KW. The parallel kit has a 30 amp connection. I originally purchased them to run the AC on our Flagstaff travel trailer when boondocking. Recently traded the Flagstaff in on a motor home and now use them around the house during power outages which is fairly common on the North Side. I always mix Sta-Bil with the gas which helps to prevent the gas from breaking down and clogging the carburetor. They only weigh about 48 pounds each and are super quiet.

I've had my Honda eu2000i since 2003 and love it.. It gets a 30 minute workout every month under load. (I run a air compressor and vac and do vehicle maintenance at the same time) Wish I would have installed a run clock on it as others have done.
I've been toying with the idea of putting a propane conversion kit on it.. Has anyone done this?

I would love to have a pair of the eu2000i with the parallel kit to run my camper when needed, but after looking at the price for everything compared to how much I would use them, I decided to purchase a 5500w contractor style generator. The only issue that I have with it is the noise. I made a converter plug for it so I can plug in my camper.
In fact, when TS Fay came through, it fully ran my 5'er and my house refrigerator at the same time.
I only take it when we go on a long trip, where we may boondock over night. I mount it on a platform on the back of my camper. If I had $2300 worth of generators, I may be afraid to leave the back there...

We just bought a Honda EU 3000 from Gander Mountain on the Northside. It was $1750, which is the cheapeast I have found just about anywhere. I'll chime in once we have used it.
I thought about buying 2 EU2000's but couldnt justify the cost difference.

| Honda eu 2000 has a MSRP of around $1,000. Those wishing to purchase one or two should look to the internet. You will have to call for the price, usually around 899.00 with free shipping. I understand Honda frowns on listing the generators with a discount online so call for a lower price. Mayberrys and Hay's Equipment discounts and usually has free shipping.

| Sorry guys but I went for the Champion, after hearing it run I am glad I did. It is nowhere near as loud as a contractor type, it is not as quiet as a single eu2000, of course at 1/3 the price and twice the output it was a no brainer.
